Make things quick!!! (Or not.)

Anime marathon I: Arjuna 1-12 on TV this past weekend. (No ep. 13 ;_;) This title hasn’t lost any of its quality. I’m still loving it to bits and pieces.

Anime marathon II: Hagaren! I was stuck somewhere between 16 and 19 for weeks and I managed to catch up until episode 32 (the most recent one) until earlier today. Go me! I thought the beginning of the second season was a bit of a let-down but it’s getting so much better again. Love this show!

Tried watching Gantz. The first episode was quite interesting but from then on it turned into the typical shounen (seinen?) junk show. Gory, vulgar, dumb, obscene :(

Monster based on the manga by Urasawa Naoki, on the other hand, is a great suspense mystery series. It took me a while to start watching this but so far I’m glad I didn’t ignore this show because I’m highly enjoying it.

I’m still watching Mujin Wakusei Survive (Uninhabitated Planet Survive).

Madlax is getting better and better too. It bears resemblances to Noir but then I again, I only saw the first 2 episodes of that series so I don’t mind at all ^^; Just like in .hack, Kajiura Yuki’s BGM varies from wonderful to absolutely annoying. And for the ultimate audio stimulation, Madlax 5 featured Irino Miyu’s voice acting godliness *raburabu*

D.N.Angel anime series

D.N.Angel’s fabulous – in a cute, innocent sort of way. I always thought the manga was quite nice and I’ve been following it in Asuka more or less actively. The anime is quite good. Irino Miyu is exactly the right person to lend his voice to Daisuke. He’s so adorable, I really love him ♥
Some of the CG art was making me a bit dizzy. All the main characters were introduced quite nicely, though, and the mixture of comedy and more serious, darker undertones was just right. But: no OP and ED in episode 1 ;_; Oh well, Episode 2 airs tonight in Japan so I hope to get to hear the songs on Saturday/Sunday, as soon as the fansubbed episode is released.

Asuka excitement!!

I just got my copy of Asuka 3, yay! I flipped through it quickly aaaand there are two extremely pleasant bits of news in there that make my little fangirl heart jump for joy. Number one being the announcement of a new Yasei no Bara series!!! Aaah, I sense more Katsumoto-sensei greatness.

And number two is: They announced details of the seiyuu cast for the DNAngel anime TV series. I’m not a big fan of the manga BUT I’ll definitely have to watch that anime because Irino Miyu, HAKU’S SEIYUU!!!, is going to be the voice actor for Niwa Daisuke. I don’t know how many times I’ve rewatched Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi just for all the Haku-adorableness, part of which stems from his lovely gentle voice… aaahh… Irino-kun!! =^-^=
