Domain name inspired by the book Coin Locker Babies by Murakami Ryu.
Version 11 features Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette in the same-titled movie by Sofia Coppola, with a song title/line borrowed from Interpol.


My favourite bands/artists include: The National, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, Idlewild, The Decemberists, Massive Attack, Foals.
Also, I admit I do have an unhealthy obsession with Korean pop music at times, especially when I'm feeling highly self-ironic.

A short and completely incomplete list of my favourite writers: Paul Auster, Don DeLillo, David Mitchell, Kazuo Ishiguro, Joseph Conrad, Dazai Osamu, Murakami Haruki, Takahashi Genichiro, Murakami Ryu, Ogawa Yoko.

Serious/sci-fi/historical shôjo manga, especially from the 70s/80s and early 90s. Serious or sci-fi seinen manga. Favorite mangaka: Hagio Moto, Shimizu Reiko, Takao Shigeru, Hiwatari Saki, Okazaki Kyôko, Yuki Kaori, Takemiya Keiko, Tamura Yumi, Tsumugi Taku, Yazawa Ai, Urasawa Naoki.

Pretty much everything that isn't your average action-packed blockbuster but nothing too obscure either. British films (Mike Leigh, Ken Loach, Danny Boyle etc.), but also - and to a large part - independent American and classic Hollywood movies. Korean cinema.

Writing, translating, concerts, discovering great music, academic research (especially Japanese literature), cooking, travelling, design (fashion, production design in film, graphic design, web design, architecture), languages, witty and intelligent conversations and innumerable other things.
