Pre-ordered the Hagaren artbook and NANA 10.
My latest, already most treasured possession (at least book-wise).
Please close your eyes NOW so no one will witness me writing:

Sent off some faxes to NSI. All of my international domains might survive. I’m actually thinking about not renewing ytNET and moving all my sites to coinlockerbaby.org. I’d have to move this blog to a directory like coinlockerbaby.org/log but that wouldn’t be that big a problem. OR I might keep ytNET and get another domain for new projetcs…? Daydreaming~
From March 1 on, I’ll be working at my most belovedest record shop again. My dad is friends with the shop owner. (We’re all music fanatics.) I’d been working there for years when I was still in school. It’s the coolest little shop ever, selling everything from punk to rock to gothic to… schlager. You can even find the rarest vinyl records (from all genres, rock to schlager, all decades) there. And it’s always nice to help and talk with the customers. I’m so happy to be able to work there again!

Today I killed and successfully reanimated my parents’ PC. I thought we’d have to get a new one but it all turned out fine in the end. Haaah. *relieved*
I love the guys at We Suck. Their Mujin Wakusei Survive subs are pretty good. I’m glad they picked up the show (and strangely enough, a few groups also picked it up after them, when the show had already been running for a few weeks). I really like their small, yellow font. It actually reminds me of the good old VHS fansub days ^^;
Just a few more words on Muji Wakusei Survive itself:
It progresses very slowly in order to leave the characters enough time to develop. I really like that. It might be a kids show but it never treats the characters nor the audience like idiots. In fact, Luna & Co seem a lot more mature than the characters of anime series targeted at an older audience.
The show’s somewhat nostalgic charm is just amazing.
Mousou Dairinin (Paranoia Agent) didn’t fail to impress either! The first episode starts with a scene of mass paranoia and continues in a very… Satoshi Kon typical way of stylish mystery and weirdness. Really cool, can’t wait for more!
Live-eviL are subbing Marco (3000 Leagues in Search of Mother). Now, this makes me really nostalgic as this is one of the many many World Masterpiece Theater titles I enjoyed when I was younger. Rascal and A Dog of Flanders were my favourites of them all ♥ I hope that one day there’ll be more fansubs of those great anime available!

Thank you and you for your comments. Firebird & Netscape compatibility will have to wait till I’ve gotten rid of my HTML allergy or till the next layout ^^;
One more reason to love Frankfurt: It has an awesome Film Museum.
Behold, Kubrick fans! Needless to say, I’m so going to see this.
I need escapism more than anything right now.

I’ll never try fixing layouts till 5 am again, I feel totally shitty today -_- For some reason Photoshop fucked up the slicing so I had to manually change the table HTML… When I finally got it all to work I was so tired I couldn’t even write more than the one-liner down there *points to previous entry*
The original (i.e. unedited) image is by Yamakawa Aiji, one of my favourite shoujo manga artists. She draws & writes a lot for Betsuma and Derama (Bessatsu Margaret and Deluxe Margaret, both published by Shueisha). I love Betsuma (in fact my March issue arrived this morning *joy*). Most people think there’s just silly romance stuff in there but that’s not correct. Love might be the most dominant theme but it’s presented in a ‘pure’ (that’s the word the Japanese use which means no ‘H’ stuff (no sex!)), sometimes nostalgic, often ’setsunai’ (unrequited love etc.) way. But there are also stories that are a lot deeper than that, those that depict problems within the family, conflicts between friends or bullying at school (’ijime’ stories …).
But most of all, the manga series in Betsuma are always cool to look at because from a visual POV it’s clearly fashion manga. So if you like your manga stylish then Betsuma is probably the number one choice.
(And that was my useless rambling for the day.)
Now, some of you might have noticed I was gone for a while (^^;). I went back to Berlin for the last days of the Berlinale and also did some ’stuff’ for Uni. I’m now 100% sure I’ll be going to Frankfurt (if they take me, that is). They don’t accept any new students for the spring semester so I’ll have to wait till October. But that’s good because that leaves me with enough time to prepare myself for the film courses and – most importantly – find an apartment or a room at a reasonable price. Frankfurt is awefully expensive :( If anyone living in or near Frankfurt has a spare room or two for a nice girl, well email me :)
The problems with my international domains haven’t been resolved yet. If the worst comes to the worst, I’ll have to buy new domains. I’m also thinking about deleting my live journal. I already got a new one – which I might not use very often -_-;

And with a new layout, too. More later. Now sleep.
