music: The Pixies – Where is my mind?
My vision’s a bit blurry cause I’ve been wearing my contacts for far too long today.
I started watching Donnie Darko. Just when I though ‘Every movie that starts with an Echo and the Bunnymen song must be genius’ a friend of mine came over. Couldn’t convince him to watch the film with me (tasteless bastard … j/k) so now it’ll probably take me 2 weeks again till I feel okay enough to watch DD.
For some reason (well, the no.1 reason being boredom, obviously), I started hunting for a jrock fic I’ve been reading three years ago. I haven’t read any fanfics for about 2 and a half years and didn’t know where to start looking since I couldn’t remember neither the fic’s author nor its title. So I started sorting through the jrock-fic ML’s archive starting with messages that were posted back in August 2000. Reading some of the posts from back then made me feel so nostalgic. That time was really cool, I was so into Dir en grey and my indie obsession was also starting grow (that was back in the days when ordering indie items was quite difficult, remember?)… Somewhere between the September and November messages I found the fic. And out of curiosity, I read some of the more recent posts and was quite surprised that 90% of the fics are still Dir en grey stories. And Malice Mizer. And Laruku. And Yoshiki *pukes* No seriously, why aren’t there any good indie fics out there. Not like I was a fan of fanfics but I want to bathe in my nostalgia and read _just one_ fic, just for the sake of it.

music: Hot Hot Heat (oh what a coincidence -_-) – Make up the breakdown
The Americans do have a point with their air conditioning in apartments etc. So do the Japanese.
Fuck the Kyoto Protocol.
Global warming? It’s happening right here and right now, and I need any form of aircon, or else I’ll be dead in about 76 hours. I’m sweating like a pig, it’s not even funny anymore.
Anyway. My TS package is on its way to me. I hope it’ll be here on Thursday. I’m so looking forward to the baroque single… I’m not that nervous about the Kagrra stuff cause I know it’ll be great (^^) but the baroque single is a completely different thing! I haven’t read any reviews for it yet so I have absolutely no idea what the songs are like. Due to the heat here in Europe, I’ve been doing NOTHING lately, so all my mind’s been occupied with is anticipating the package and my impatience is reaching an all-time high. Just like the temperature.

music: The Devlins – Crossing the river
I dug out my Batman Forever soundtrack and hm, it’s still as good as seven (eight?) years ago. Granted, half of the songs are crap but the other half’s very very sexy.
I’ve really enjoyed the last two Aliza Marie singles/maxis (the second of that double release deal and the new single, Palette), I’m also looking forward to baroque’s Gakidou, so you might consider adding any of those to your list.
I might not get that ‘new’ Merry maxi till late September cause there’s nothing else I’d want to order with it at the moment… I have to admit I do feel a little annoyed by Merry’s way of re-releasing old songs multiple times. Can’t they put out something new?
(I’m really glad Kagrra are not doing the same but keep releasing new singles/maxis/mini-albums at least three times a year. They definitely know how to keep the fangirls happy ^^;)
Surprisingly enough, I also like the little bits and pieces I’ve heard of Dir en grey’s new album Vulgar. So much, actually, I’m considering buying it as soon as it comes out in September. (And I still get nostalgic when I listen to Missa, Gauze and macabre – I often wonder how a band that released such awesome albums were also able to put out crap like the post-macabre stuff. It’d be very nice if they could put out something decent again!)
Spent 2 hours last night talking on the phone with a friend in T. She probably was my best friend… I really really miss her and feel a little bad for leaving everything behind so suddenly. I couldn’t go back though, no matter what.
